The Cause for Association

The maintenance of law and order does not belong exclusively to the law enforcement agencies. To maintain law and order, and to encourage respect for the laws of the community, the responsibility lies with all of us-with those who make the laws, with the courts, with the law enforcement agencies, the average citizen, the business person, the professional, and in fact with all segments of our community. It is important that we all cooperate to achieve this goal. No other organization is more uniquely qualified to create this opportunity, to take up this challenge and bring the message of cooperation to the community and its people.

Purpose

The purpose for which this association is formed is to encourage good fellowship, mutual respect, and helpfulness between peace officers, federal law enforcement agencies, business and professionals and all persons having a sympathetic attitude and understanding toward law enforcement and law enforcement agencies; and to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members, and to promote the true spirit of Americanism.

Slogan

The slogan adopted by the organization was "BIGGER AND BETTER FOOTPRINTS", which strands for closer cooperation between all law enforcement agencies as well as business and professional persons, who are also eligible to be members of the organization. The symbol of the organization is that of the fictional character Robinson Crusoe and his man Friday--the former following the footprints of the latter on the sands of the beach where Crusoe was shipwrecked which ultimately resulted in excellent cooperation between Crusoe and Friday, which symbolizes the ideals of this organization
We believe that our organization fills a great need in the community by bringing altogether at regular meetings law enforcement officials of all levels and civilian members of Footprint Chapters.
