High Desert Early
Childhood Centerprovides affordable, quality child
care and education to low and middle income children who
would be "At-Risk" without our service.
Purpose:
The Mission of the
High Desert Early Childhood Center is to serve "At
Risk" preschool children of the Victor Valley by
providing a model program of specialized Day Care in an
atmosphere which promotes the value of diversity,
education, and strong and healthy families.
Goal:
Our goal is to
provide quality Day Care to middle to low income
families.

Program:
Our program is
High/Scope. High/Scope’s cognitively oriented
preschool curriculum represents an attempt to promote
active learning on the part of the child. Active learning
the direct and immediate experiencing of objects,
High/Scope curriculum is based. Simply put young children
learn concepts through self-initiated activity.

Jazz Festival to be
held at the County Fairgrounds. June 16th 1996. Dinner
tickets and seating will be available. More information
coming soon.
